He was raised in Fort Dwayne, and it’s believed that both his mother and father were involved in the film industry.

He studied at Mercer Island High School, and while there played football and soccer for the school’s teams. He was interested in various other things, including acting as a member of the school’s drama club, playing the piano and studying history.
