Mark Hite, a top-selling real estate agent in Chattanooga and a patron of numerous community NGOs, was discovered deceased in Key West, Florida, on Tuesday, as per the police report. He was fifty-eight.
A police spokeswoman stated that Hite was declared deceased at the scene and taken to the medical examiner after Key West police responded to a call for a welfare check in the 400 block of Emma Street at around 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
“Until the autopsy report is received, there is no evidence of foul play,” an email from Key West police spokesman Alyson Crean stated.
Hite owned a condo on Emma Street, according to property records in Monroe County, Florida. Colleagues reported he had been on vacation in Key West.
After spending 13 years with Keller William Realty, Hite—who was born and raised in Kevil, Kentucky—built a team of over twenty agents and worked in the Chattanooga real estate market for almost 22 years. In 2020, the Mark Hite team joined Chattanooga Real Estate Partners.
