Kardashian family weddings can cost millions of dollars but they often don't personally foot the bill. The SKIMS founder was originally hit with the lawsuit in May 2021. Several employees who’d worked at her Hidden Hills, California home launched the case after they alleged being subjected to poor working conditions. Among their claims, the plaintiffs said that not only was Kim late with their pay, but she paid the bare minimum.
Kim KardashianAdditionally, they claimed The Kardashians star denied paying overtime and also wouldn’t grant food breaks. There were even claims that Kim allowed one of the employees to continue working, despite finding out he was underage.
It was never clear how much the ex-employees were seeking, but in addition to unpaid wages and damages for unfair working conditions (and given the extent of Kim’s fortune), they could’ve been seeking millions.
There were seven plaintiffs, in total, who are all believed to have gotten a financial sum from the settlement Kim recently agreed to. The plaintiffs were Andrew Ramirez, Andrew Ramirez Jr., Christopher Ramirez, Aron Cabrea, Rene Ernesto Flores, Jesse Fernandez, and Robert Araiza.
Kim originally tried to get the case dismissed, but her request was denied. She owes a lot of her success to her SKIMS brand, which recently announced it’s expanding to physical stores across the world as it continues its global takeover.
