Brandy‘s trademark braids are back!
In a series of just-released stills from her new music video, “Put It Down,” the 33-year-old multiplatinum singer returns to the ’90s hairstyle most associated with her TV alter ego, Moesha. (Brandy starred in the UPN series from 1996-2001.)
The Grammy Award winner collaborated with Chris Brown, 23, on the track from her upcoming album, Two Eleven (available October 2). During a July 20 interview with Urban Informer, Brandy promised her forthcoming music video with Brown will be “so hot.”
“Hype Williams directed the video, and his vision and what he sees for me has always been great,” she said. “I worked with him early on in my career.” The two collaborated on 1995’s “Baby,” “I Wanna Be Down” and “Sittin’ Up In My Room,” among others.

Brandy is eager to share her new music with fans, despite a few minor delays. “The album is ready to go but it’s about the timing of the single,” she explained. “I don’t really do anything unless I really give my 100 percent, so I had to do [“It All Belongs To Me,” her duet with Monica, 31], so everything is a little bit behind for me for my project.”
“It better come out in October because [otherwise] my fans are going to be like ‘Okay, I’m done with her,’ and I don’t want them to be done with me,” she laughed. “I need them!”
